​FLASHMOB

TREASURE BOXES

Students read a book and design a box. They must fill the box with items which represent each chapter of the book.

FLASHMOB

On the 23rd April 2012, students from SI La Miquela performed a flashmob at Catalonia Square in Girona to celebrate Saint George's Day. It was based on love, literature and our country, Catalonia.

OPEN-AIR READING

Students and their teacher go outdoors with a reading book in order to read alone under a tree shadow, next to the fountain, sitting on a bench, ... contemplating the countryside, feeling the sunlight and enjoying the pleasure of reading.

LOVE STORIES

Students search information and pictures about their grandparents' love story. After writing the full story, illustrated with pictures, students are asked to edit a video using the pictures with Catalan off-voice and subtitles in English.  

EATABLE BOOKS

After reading a book students think of several ingredients which  represent the book and elaborate a dish with them.

SECRET LIFE NOTEPAD

Students buy a little notepad and write their feelings, opinions and experiences in different issues. Their writings are accompanied with some drawings or pictures.

NON AUTHORIZED BIOGRAPHY

Students search information and pictures about their grandparents, parents and themselves. They must draw their family tree, write the biography of his/her grandfather and finally, write about their family in future.

LITERARY ITINERARY IN BESCANÓ

Students look for the most emblematic spots in Bescanó and write brief descriptions of the place. Later they compose a Haiku.

LEG@AMI DI PAROLE is a project funded by the European Commission in the framework of Regio Comenius  in the Lifelong Learning Programme and be made up of two European regions: Abruzzo, an area known as "The Green Area of Europe" and the Catalan city Bescanó, Girona - Catalonia (Spain) . The project has the goal of understanding the poor reading comprehension skills of our kids and teenagers and explore the improvements of reading and writing practise of the participating countries.​​ ​

As LEG@MI DI PAROLE is​ a two-year project, in the first year students work on the reading likes and dislikes. It consists of encouraging students to read carrying out enganging and innovative activites . All these activites have nothing to do with the typical reading comprehension activities or reading summaries.

​FOR PROMOTING WRITING SKILLS​

This second year consists of dealing with different ways of improving our students' writing skills in different topics. Among some works, they will write the secret life of a celebrity (as an autobigraphy), edit a video about their grandparents' love stories or write the non authorized biography of their families.
