OUR PARTNERS

Our school - Základní škola T.G. Masaryka, is located in a small town called Borohrádek in Hradec Králové Region (Eastern Bohemia). Borohrádek is an attraction zone for the wide surroundings. 215 pupils from 12 municipalities attend our school.
Borohrádek was an industry developed town but recently a few woodworking firms have been closed, our agriculture is in decrement too. The number of inhabitants keeps constantly falling down. There are many families in a bad social and economic situation.
We offer a wide range of free time activities. Except for Comenius Partnership, Comenius Regio projects and other international activities, we are also involved in other projects, e.g. School television as a way to develop key competencies, Crossing borders via videos (eTwinning).
We also integrate children with learning disorders.
Our participation ambition is to enable our pupils and teachers to learn the life in other EU countries, to work in a team, to increase knowledge of foreign languages and ICT

Gimnazjum im Tadeusza Kosciuszki w Raclawicach is located in the south of Poland in the village of Raclawice.  There is both a Primary and a Second Level school in one building. Pupils attending the Primary school are aged 6 – 13 years and those attending the Secondary school are aged 13 – 16. At present about 300 pupils attend both schools.
Along with the Curriculum laid down for Polish schools, particular emphasis is placed on the development of regional traditions, regional songs and dances. Also Drama and Sports are strongly encouraged, the Girls’ Volleyball Team being Regional Champions at present.
The acquisition of proficiency in Foreign Languages is emphasised strongly. Both English and German are taught to all pupils. There is a percentage of pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds. There is also a percentage of pupils with physical disability and learning difficulties. Some students come from families where alcohol abuse is a problem. There are also pupils who receive help at school as a result of social deprivation. Such pupils risk social exclusion as they often do not have conditions in the home conducive to learning. Help provided at school encourages them to learn and allows them access to proper education so as to avoid being socially excluded.Raclawice in Poland

Our school, Cumhuriyet High School, was opened in 1994 and it has been providing training for students since then. It is located in Çorum. It is in the central part of Turkey and two hundred forty seven kilometres to Ankara, which is the capital city of Turkey. Alacahöyük,BoÄŸazkale,HattuÅŸa were the important  residental centres of the Hittites. These areas  are within the boundaries of Çorum. There have been one school director , two vice school directors, 727 students , 38 teachers and 7 staff in our school.
Even thought our school is situated in the city centre, our students’ parents are usually from the rural areas. Due to unemployment there has been a constant migration to the city from the towns and villages. Unemployment is one of the biggest problems of our students and their families. Due to a lack of income the families are short of material and this situation leads to the disintegration of the families. Almost three or four students‘ parents in each classroom live seperately for this reason. This situation negatively effects their educational and current lives.Çorum in Turkey Republic
